Sailing trainings for coastal license, IC FB2, FB3, RYA Day Skipper, SRC radio
The international trainings for the sailing areas IC FB2, IC FB3 will be carried out according to the yacht regulation from May 2020 (JachtVO 2020).The RYA trainings and exams are conducted on the boat or in learning rooms. The IC exams are conducted by independent examiners of the Austrian Sailing Association (OeSV).For the Croatian coastal license we teach all exam-relevant contents incl. ship and harbor radio on board. The examination takes place on site by a Croatian port authority.
The international SRC radio training and exams are held with authorized partners.
Austrian inland license Bfa-Binnen
With the inland license (A-certificate) you set the foundation for future sailing experiences. Here you learn the tools from the base away. The balanced mix of theory and practice allows you from the beginning to sail with joy.freedom.safety.

Kursdauer:
5 days incl. exam; each from 10:00 - 17:00. Preferred training period July-August. Theoretical evening weekend courses (Fri/Sat or Sat/Sun) are possible in winter/spring by arrangement.
The entire training includes the necessary theory and practice. Depending on the weather, the focus will be aligned. On the last day the exams take place.
All-day catering must be brought along or can be purchased on site. The training takes place at the Neusiedlersee in Mörbisch or Rust.
The examination and administration fees are to be paid according to the regulations of the ÖSV (WSVO) before the examination and are not included in the course fee. (As of 2020, approx. 60 €)

Croatian Coastal Patent (HR)
The Croatian coastal license is the "standard" ship license of the Croatian Adriatic, which is very popular. With relatively little effort, you can sail almost all charter yachts that are offered in Croatia. The training and the exam for the coastal license consists mainly of theory. Of course, we include our practical experience in the training, but we strongly recommend a few practical sailing/motor yacht weeks before taking responsibility for a ship's command. For our graduates we offer specially designed trainings on the Croatian coast. Safety first!
Training Information
The "Croatian Coastal Patent", the boat license entitles for:
- Cruises with sailing & motor yachts as well as catamarans up to 30 GRT (gross registered tons)
- the driving with jet skis
- Driving boats without power limit (no horsepower limit)*
- Journeys in the complete territorial sea
- Journeys up to 3 nautical miles off the coast or an island also commercial
- the operation of a VHF marine radio system
Minimum age: 16 years (*to the 18th birthday max. 15 kW allowed)
Duration: 09:00 - 18:00
Theoretical training locations: Graz, Vienna. By arrangement in your hometown, plus expenses
Cost: 185 € / person, including script. A Croatian sea chart, navigation compass and navigation triangles can be provided free of charge for the duration of the course.
To bring with the course: 2 passport photos ( 3 x 2.5 cm ).
For a closed group of 4 people or more, there is a group discount of 10%.
Examination fees: approx. 125 € to be paid on site (as of 2020).
Examination location: The theoretical examination is taken in Croatia at an official authority. For details see port offices.
Travel: Own expense. From Vienna, Graz to Biograd a bus goes there/return around 40 € (as of 2020). Further information: FlixBus

International Certificates (IC)
According to the JachtVO of May 8, 2020, the following items are required:
- completed 18 years of age
- physical and mental aptitude (medical certificate or motor vehicle driver's license and certificate of sufficient color discrimination or skipper's license 10 m with date of issue from 2010) - already required for the theory test.
- Austrian citizenship or main residence in Austria
- for travel range 3 an FB2 is required. However, training for driving range 2 can be started immediately.
- nautical practice (proof of experience) for the respective sailing area - required for the practical examination. This proof of experience is to be proven in a suitable form for sailing and motor yachts as watch or ship captain (see Nautical Mileage Verification Form)
- First aid certificate: Basic course of 16 hours of an accredited institution or certificate by: First aid confirmation according to § 15 para. 12 SeeSchFG

Royal Yachting Association Education
Sailing-Experience offers from 2023 the organization of the prestigious offshore sailing courses of the British Royal Yachting Association (RYA) in English language. The RYA is the national governing body for dinghies, yachts and powerboats, all forms of sailing racing, RIBs and pleasure craft, windsurfing and more. RYA education is recognized as the world's leading standard with more than 25,000 RYA instructors in 58 countries.
The RYA Day Skipper and Competent Crew training is conducted by Sailing-Experience under the RYA Training Center White Wake Sailing School in Croatia (Primosten/Kremik).
RYA Day Skipper and Competent Crew
Sailing Experience is since 11/2022 certified and registered RYA Cruising Instructor for Sail. Consequently, from 2023 the two trainings incl. proficiency check will be carried out with a RYA training center in Croatia. The courses will take place regularly throughout the year. The training and examinations will be carried out on the sailing yacht.

The certification for the SRC training center takes place depending on the demand. Until then, we offer the accompaniment free of charge for sailing experience customers.
VHF II, SRC radio license
The radio training is currently carried out through an accredited partner. We accompany in the organization of the training and in the examination of each participant.

A short overview
In general, the theory is learned at the beginning and with the examination the admission for the practical part is acquired. Depending on which level of training is aimed for, practical nautical miles with night approaches and days on board must be available by the examination date.
Analogous to the seasons, we hold theory courses in Austria and enrich them with practical experiences. This can be dinghy sailing on a nearby inland lake or an extended special weekend on the Adriatic. With us, theory is always taught hand in hand with practice. From May - October it is also possible to complete theory and practice on the ship.
Guarantee: After our trainings there is no unsightly harbor cinema.
